Become a Billet: Help Shape the Future of Hockey!
The Minnesota Wilderness NA3HL in Eveleth are always looking for billet (host) families to join our hockey family. Whether it’s for a weekend visit, a short-term stay, or the full season, billet families play a vital role in the success of our players and our program.
Our athletes — ages 16 to 20 — come from across the country and around the world to pursue their dream of playing collegiate and professional hockey. While here, they train daily on and off the ice and rely on the support of billet families to provide a stable, welcoming home away from home.
Hosting a player isn’t just about providing a room; it’s about becoming part of their journey!

What We Ask of Our Billet Families:

A safe, family-oriented environment.

A private bedroom with a bed, linens, and storage.

Internet access for communication and schoolwork.

A nutritious, cooked dinner daily, with breakfast and lunch options available (players can prep those themselves).
What’s Expected of the Players:

Players must follow team rules at the rink, in the home, and in the community.

They are expected to be respectful, clean up after themselves, and maintain a tidy room.

Host families are encouraged to enforce team and household rules consistently.
Players typically arrive in September and stay through the end of the season in March.
