ABOUT THE MINNESOTA wilderness

The Minnesota Wilderness are a USA Hockey-sanctioned Tier III Junior ice hockey team playing in the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL). The Wilderness call Eveleth, MN home and play at the Historic Eveleth Hippodrome.

Minnesota Wilderness NA3HL call the oldest rink in Minnesota, the Historic Hippodrome, its home! Located in Evelth, Minnesota. 

The Hippodrome (also known as “the Hipp”) first opened in 1922. Since then, it has hosted some of Minnesota’s top hockey players, with 12 having been inducted into the nearby United States Hockey Hall of Fame — including legendary names such as Frank Brimsek, John Mayasich, John Mariucci and Sam LoPresti.

The arena is located at 501 Douglas Ave, Eveleth, MN 55734.
